The green light of most network interfaces represents network speed, while the yellow light represents data transmission.
Although various network devices are different, usually:
Green light: if the lamp is on for a long time, it means 100m; if it is not on, it means 10m
Yellow light: long on ﹣ means no data receiving and transmitting; flashing ﹣ means data receiving and transmitting
Gigabit Ethernet port (1000m) directly distinguishes status according to color, not bright: 10M / GREEN: 100M / yellow: 1000m
With the arrival and popularization of 5g network, the original lowest 10m network has been replaced by 100m network. If one LED of RJ45 network port is on for a long time, it usually means 100m network or higher, while the other LED flashes, indicating that there is data transmission, which is subject to the network equipment.
In order to reduce the cost, some low-end network ports only have one LED, long light means network connectivity, flashing means data transmission, all of which are completed by the same led.
The LED in RJ45 network port connector provides us with more intuitive help to distinguish the status of network equipment. With the change of market demand, RJ45 connector with LED is a better choice for selection.
